Circuit Stream is a leader in future technology skills training and learning content. We offer world-class educational services for teen and adult learners with a focus on the skills needed to leverage immersive and emerging technology.
We are seeking a passionate software engineer or machine learning developer with a deep understanding of AI and machine learning to instruct our AI Building Brains with Deep Learning course for learners aged 13-18. Students will be learning Deep Learning skills, to teach our Artificial Intelligence: Building Brains with Deep Learning courses to learners aged 13-18. Students will be learning the basic concepts of building an image recognition program using Python, and available libraries. The ideal instructor candidates for this course should possess a strong foundation in Python, the different libraries available within Python, Google Colab, deep learning concepts, machine learning algorithms, as well as some teaching, TA or training experience.
AI Building Brains with Deep Learning is offered once at at University of Washington Seattle campus (Poplar Hall classroom). The Instructor hired to teach this course must be available from 9:00am-3:30pm PT from July 13-24 (plus 1 week in June for training).
Candidates selected for interviews will be contacted starting in March 2026.
Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans and lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions with teen learners following Circuit Stream's AI Building Brains with Deep Learning course curriculum.

- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they ideate, develop, and iterate on their final project: image recognition program using Python, and available libraries
- Showcase proficiency in Python, and Deep Learning Algorithms
- Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights to offer students a holistic understanding of the field
- Grade and provide feedback on assignments and final projects that accurately measure student understanding and progress within the course.
Requirements
- Availability to teach during the day (from 9am-3:30pm) in July 2026 (dates listed above)
- Previous industry experience in software engineering or AI, Machine Learning or Deep Learning specialties
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field OR Masters students currently pursuing Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science.
- Proficiency in coding with Python, Deep Learning Algorithms like CNNs, and Google Colab
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Innate logical thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture logical thinking in students
- A passion for guiding and mentoring students, fostering their growth, and providing meaningful feedback
- Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
- A proactive attitude towards ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry advancements
- A strong portfolio of relevant work to showcase your skills and experience
- Previous experience teaching coding to kids/teens or experience as a teaching assistant for university or college level courses

Compensation
$1,650.00 per week
