Description

Meet Circuit Stream

Where big futures start. Circuit Stream is building the defining youth enrichment brand in North America. We create pre-university summer camps that give young people the chance to explore what they might want to do next, from AI, engineering, medicine and business to psychology, sports, outdoor adventure and more. Through partnerships with leading universities and industry experts, we turn those interests into hands-on experiences that build skills, confidence, and open doors to future opportunities. We have big ambitions to serve over 10,000+ students a year. Getting there means moving quickly, trying new things, learning from what works, and giving great people real ownership. If you’re ambitious about where your own career can go, and excited to help young people discover where theirs might lead, you’ll thrive here.

We’re looking for finance, investment, or fintech practitioners, educators, or Masters/PhD students who can make learning about money, markets, investing, and digital finance understandable and engaging for teenagers.

Why You’ll Love This Role

You’ll help students ages 13–17 build practical financial literacy and understand how investing works across both traditional markets and emerging financial technology. Depending on the cohort, you may teach Finance & Investment Management, Financial Technology & Investing, or both. Students will explore investment strategies, portfolio management, fintech products, crypto concepts, market data, scams and misinformation, and responsible financial decision-making. The curriculum, lesson resources, and activities are provided; your role is to make them engaging, accessible, and memorable while helping every student make progress.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver Circuit Stream’s provided Finance & Investment Management and/or Financial Technology & Investing curriculum with energy, clarity, and strong classroom facilitation.
  • Guide students through market analysis, portfolio simulations, investment decision-making, fintech tools, and group activities while ensuring learners are meeting the course learning objectives.
  • Help students interpret market data, question hype-driven claims, understand risk, and recognize misinformation, scams, and responsible approaches to financial and crypto research.
  • Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment and use appropriate behavior-management techniques to reinforce expectations, rules, responsible technology use, and safety requirements.
  • Supervise students during scheduled indoor and outdoor activities outside classroom instruction each day, while monitoring learner progress and communicating concerns or support needs to the Circuit Stream team.

What We’re Looking For

  • You genuinely enjoy working with teenagers and know how to keep a group engaged, participating, and excited to learn.
  • Professional, academic, or substantial project experience in finance, investment management, financial technology, banking, wealth management, or a related field.
  • A completed degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Financial Technology, or a related discipline; or Masters/PhD in progress, or equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of investment fundamentals, portfolio construction, market data, diversification, and risk; fintech and crypto knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Comfort with tools such as TradingView, Yahoo Finance, paper-trading platforms, CoinMarketCap, Coinbase, or Etherscan, or the ability to learn provided tools quickly.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, plus teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, camp, or youth-program experience is strongly preferred.

Who This Is For

  • Someone who gets energy from helping teenagers become more confident and thoughtful about money, investing, and financial technology.
  • A practical teacher who brings provided lessons to life through market examples, simulations, questioning, discussion, and hands-on participation.
  • Someone who can explain financial risk and complex market concepts without hype, jargon, or presenting speculation as certainty.
  • Someone who can be warm and approachable while still setting clear boundaries and maintaining a focused, safe learning environment.
  • Someone who is available to teach on weekdays during the summer for all course dates listed.

Who This Is Not For

  • If you are interested in markets or investing but do not enjoy spending your day actively working with teenagers.
  • If your preferred teaching style is primarily lecture-based or you expect students to stay engaged without active facilitation.
  • If you promote speculative investments, crypto assets, or personal financial opinions rather than teaching balanced, evidence-based decision-making and risk awareness.
  • If you become frustrated when beginners need extra explanation, encouragement, or redirection.
  • If you are uncomfortable enforcing classroom expectations, supervising students outside the classroom, or taking responsibility for safety.

What’s In It For You

  • The opportunity to help teenagers build financial literacy and explore careers across finance, investment, and fintech.
  • A complete curriculum, lesson resources, activities, instructor training, and support from Circuit Stream’s Education team.
  • A community of instructors and educators to connect with and learn from.
  • A rewarding summer role where you can strengthen your teaching and mentorship skills while making a visible impact on students.
